Well it’s a week since queer pagan camp 2007 finished. Our tenth year. in the hills of lush, green and dreamy dorset
Another fantastic camp… and a real community spirit of support and love. Brought out im sure in part due to adverse weather conditionsJ)) as it rained A LOT! Tends, marques, domes and yurts were flooded. The café was a bog mire… shin deep in mud! Oiy.oiy, oiy! But we escaped the worst, as our marques didn’t blow down unlike camps else where in the county!
Highlights for me: the opening and closing rituals. With gigantic fires. The boy’s night walk: damn proud of the ladz! Wading through floods. Dealing with rain, clambering along rocky paths and so on. The cernunnus ritual, one I help organise… went very…. Interestingly well! Hehe… dark moon ritual, shamanic healing, body healing workshops, singing workshop, amazing drumming by the fire! Fabulous cabaret…as ever! Sherry hot chocolate at morning meeting, pagan paths workshop, the queer dome and its wonderful burner! The surprising visit of a mobile sauna! A hot sauna in a horsebox! Wow!!! Falling down the stairs of the tree bog, the distant sound of a sax, dream retrieval, two breakfasts everyday, and moo’s garden! Walking along monarchs way and collecting wild fruits and nuts, having a pallet outside my tent covering the small muddy lake that had developed there…
So much from such a great crew of people!
Most of you never make it there and I wish you could experience it just once. But I kinda always think of you all out there when at camp and hope a bit of it’s joy and energy finds a way to you.
Love and antlers, draeyk

Mon, September 3, 2007 - 4:24 AMHello!
It was my first camp and it was beautiful.
I found out about it through this group but I never really engaged with the actual discussion on here, so I'm gonna say hey!
Much love,
